Calvary Baptist Preschool is a ministry "just for kids" by Calvary Baptist Church in Ottawa, KS. Since 2008, we have been privileged to share in the lives and growth of precious children in our community. CBP offers quality, affordable instruction in a Christian environment. Our three- and four-year-old preschool classes meet from 8:00 to 11:00 A.M., Monday through Friday (except during the summer!)
We offer an exciting program that your child will look forward to each day. We anticipate that children will feel a special bond with their teachers and create life-long friendships. We are dedicated to providing the best instruction with a qualified staff at an affordable cost.
We place a particular emphasis on creating lessons that teach Christian values and emphasize God's love for each precious preschooler. Children learn Bible stories, songs, and verses that will foster a love for Jesus. Children are taught Bible truths and learn how to make right choices. They learn that they were made by a loving Creator God Who has a special purpose for each one of their lives. Kids flourish in this wholesome environment.
Our lively, challenging program gives preschoolers an enjoyable foundation for learning. The A Beka curriculum incorporates Bible-based activities into cores subjects such as Letters and Sounds, Phonics, Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Readiness Skills, Art, and Bible. Our intensive phonics-based approach to teaching reading is second to none! Small class sizes allow teachers to address the individual needs of each child. Kids develop a love of learning. Some even begin reading before entering Kindergarten.
In addition to games, physical activity, and exercise, we incorporate a variety of projects, arts and crafts, and manipulatives, and learning centers. Special attention is given to thematic and creative activities that complement the curriculum.
Furnishing quality childcare with experienced, trained teachers at and affordable cost can be challenging for both parents and providers. We are very sensitive to meeting your child's needs while offering our program at a competitive rate. Different attendance options are available.
Calvary Baptist Church is a church with a heart for kids. We love kids, and we have lots of kids in our church! Both grandparents and grandchildren fill our services and take part in the many areas of ministry. We also run buses to pick up children for services and youth activities. Our church family has also invested many hours and through generous offerings to make the ministry of Calvary Baptist Preschool a reality. We would love nothing more than to include you in our church family and to introduce you to the other programs available at Calvary. Through programs such as Patch the Pirate Clubs on Wednesday evenings, Sunday school and Children's Church on Sundays, and Vacation Bible School each summer, your children will receive a warm welcome into our fellowship.
